Tech International Charter School seeks educators who possess the qualities and skills that will create a culture of collaboration within an innovative middle school community. At TI, we need ambitious, motivated and passionate people, who are eager to commit to the school and the community it serves. In particular, we desire people who will embrace and model TI PRIDE: P- Plan B, R- Resilience, I- Integrity, D- Dedication and E- Empathy.

MORE ABOUT THE TI EDUCATIONAL APPROACH
TI’s educational approach is inspired and informed by Doug Lemov’s Teach Like a Champion and Jim Collins’s concept of a job versus a responsibility. We encourage educators whose values and practices align with those of Lemov and Collins to apply for positions at TI.
Although education degrees and certifications are not mandatory, they are desirable. 80 percent of the teaching staff must meet the NCLB Highly Certified Teacher criteria. In addition, educators with dual certification are strongly encouraged to apply.
All employees must have a skill set that includes, but is not limited to:
• Professionalism that translates into respect for all members of the TI team and the neighborhood community
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Knowledge of and/or interest in technology
• Knowledge of and/or interest in international cultures and themes
• Ability to support and respond to the social, emotional and academic needs of students
• Enthusiasm for professional development, the desire to continue evolving professionally and an interest in and desire for feedback in order to do so
• Ability to collaborate and an understanding of the gains made by doing so
• Flexibility and and strong problem solving skills
