Tech International Charter School

Tech International Charter School will be an exciting and innovative new school in City School District 10 that focuses on technology and international connections with a strong emphasis on inclusiveness for immigrant families, English Language Learners and Special Education students. It will begin with 132 students in August of 2012 and then increase one grade per year. TI will look to expand its charter in Fall of 2013 to evolve into a grade 6-12 school.

Our home is 3120 Corlear Avenue near the intersection of 231st Street. Classrooms will be ready in the next few months and we look forward, with TI PRIDE, to becoming a part of the Kingsbridge community! Please encourage anyone you know who may be interested in our mission to apply to become part of the TI team. 

We continue to push forward – delicately crafting the intricate pieces that will come together and make up the puzzle of our school. 3120 Colear is very close to being completed and is getting warmer everyday as we welcome families, teachers and vendors into our space in preparation for August. We are very close to making concrete decisions about important items such as cubbies versus lockers, which food vendor to select and which homeroom classes will be connected to what international partner. Steve is recovering well from surgery and thanks to all of you who sent well wishes over the past couple of weeks. We are looking for volunteers for our Orientation/Enrollment Sessions on June 3, 9, 10 and 16. Please contact me (Adjowah) directly if you are interested in helping.

Please take notice that the Board of Trustees of Tech International Charter School meets monthly. The 5/15/12 meeting will be at 3120 Corlear Ave, Bronx 10463 at 6:30PM. Interested members of the public are invited to attend. 

The next Board meeting will be 6/12 (place and time to be determined) but they will generally take place at TI Charter School starting at 6:30 PM.
